About the book “The Origins of Illness”
What makes us sick, and how does it happen?
This book is the result of years of work with ailments seen in the primary care setting and insight into chronic illness, as well as extensive survey of medical and other scientific literature.
Modern science tells us that we are part of a holistic ecosystem. Everything is connected. Health, be it physical or mental, is the balance between our forces and those of the universe. Most illnesses are the body’s responses to disturbances in its environment, and they originate at atomic, or quantum level. This is holism in its true form. We tend to think of this as “new wave”, but we can learn to change these processes.
While conventional medicine treats symptoms and complaints, recognizing these underlying relationships empowers us to reverse illness by removing the offending energy, whatever its form. This is confirmed by mainstream medical literature and clinical observation.
While the scientific information might sound daunting, this book makes it easily accessible in layman’s language. It should be made available to young and old.
The holistic world view is being accepted piecemeal, and to protests from many of our leaders. Because we don’t see the connected nature of what is ailing us, we are lacking a coherent approach to changing it. Our challenge is to become holistic thinkers. It is fundamental to transforming our relationship with our health and that of the planet.
The thinking represented in this book is finding favor with many in the scientific community who are looking ahead.
This thoughtful endorsement speaks to the future:
“Another great read from Dr. Elvebakk! Dr. E goes into the origins of health and disease, from a very non-traditional perspective, looking at the wholeness of health and wellness. A must read for all who are looking for answers that traditional medicine can’t provide, and for those looking for “out of the box” thinking!”
